Will the freestyle phantom have the same process on the finish as the the more expensive phantoms?

I tried bleeding that tank six times at 2 and 1/2 minutes. Nothing happened. In the end I stuck a screwdriver in with a gas hose, goes in and push that spring loaded valve out of the way. Now everything is fine. What a waste of gas. You guys should try this and stop wasting gas

Its actually designed to me mounted sideways. Not with thw fan port down. You can tell im right by how much it sagged when mounted fan hole down.

Can’t decide between the 480 and 640. They both seem awesome. We use the smoker a lot but 99% just us and the kids. Price differences doesn’t seem much. Any recommendations?

Do the grill grates need to be seasoned?

Hey all you out there! My 2 tanks that wouldn't put out needed the big plastic nut screwed on tight! My other 2 that did put out would work with the nut easy tight.. Make sure your nuts are screwed tight!

AWESOME INFO ! In 40-years of hooking up 20 & 30 lb.'ers to different appliances & rv's, had this happen 1st time to a tank I just had refilled @ local Tractor Supply. After scratching my bewildered head & knowing the cylinder to be full, I googled and watched this vid, followed instructions to a "t" & bingo ! Gauge needle popped to full tank on 2nd try ! Thanks for vid !

Be careful to ensure that the batteries can be easily replaced before you buy a Valor. We have to replace ours every year and it requires dismantling the entire front of the fireplace--a major job. Think the cars which required the entire engine block to be removed to change the fireplugs--yeah, that level of poor design. Right now the house is cold and the fireplace isn't working. I'd like to rip the whole thing out!

Is it safe to use quick connect fittings inside for propane heaters?

I'm very confused. Near the 3 minute mark, you describe how to determine the size of your fitting. You show how it is stamped on the side, or you can measure it. My confusion comes from the fact that these don't seem to match up at all! The side of the fitting says 1/2", but when you measure the fitting, the inner diameter is CLEARLY 3/4"! How is this possible? Based on the label, the "real" measurement is 1/2" - but where does one measure to come up with that? I ask because I have a female quick disconnect that I have measured at 3/4", but I can't seem to find any natural gas hoses in this diameter. Everything is either 3/8" or 1/2". From this video, I'm guessing that maybe 1/2" is the diameter I want, but I'm hesitant, since that is actually SMALLER than my measurement of 3/4"... Any help on this?

If i got the wrong fitting do i have to take it off or can i use a 3/8 adopter to bbq

It worked on second try, second burping. Never had this issue before, but it was on an exchange tank that had just been swapped out on the grill. It has been refilled many times locally. Much appreciated, saved a shish kabob dinner. Thanks.👍

I used the rods in a completely different way, lol. I used it as an extension of my arm to get the cover over the top of the umbrella, lol. I didn’t notice a slit I. The cover for it. Thanks for this.

It is more confusing than you explain here when you don't even show which end goes where - I have a natural gas barbecue and quick connect box and a 3/8 hose and a quick connect adapter - and can't even determine which end goes in to the barbeque.

What if when you disconnect, it makes that hissing sound, but it also releases a liquid that is sort of like oil and has an odor

The biggest issue with this grill is that stupid giant wheel on the lower right. Because the wheel sticks out it's impossible to slide the grill into a designated grill area. Luckily if you spend a few dollars you can overcome this dumb design decision. You can purchase 2 additional casters and a new left side panel. (Use the additional left side panel to replace the right side panel which has a cut-out as a wheel-well. - dumb). Convert and Enjoy.

May I ask if the base outer shell / material, which is "coated" in black, is also made out of stainless steel underneath or is it carbon steel? Im not sure if I should go with the stainless steel finish, as it appears more durable and will not corrode whatsoever...really fell in love with the matt black design

Been pondering buying this unit for a few months. I’m curious how long it takes to achieve average temp like approx 450°? Are they that much slower then gas?

Or you can open the tank bleed valve with a screwdriver for just a couple of seconds and close it back. The grill will probably light then.

Had a Plummer extend our home propane gas line out to our blackstone. I just need to hook up the hose from this new extension to the griddle. My question is. Do I need another regulator at the griddle itself? My Plummer said that the house regulator will reduce the gas flow but I am not sure if that is enough or if it is safe.

Are rogue phantom made in Canada ? Or China?
